Happy Friendship Day!!!!

Last weekend was quite happening
Saturday saw ‘Lakshya’ and evening attended a Salsa performance of a colleague (We all actually bought the tickets, just to see him dance, coz that was beyond our imaginations…To our surprise…he danced well :o), Even another soft spoken colleague commented..”Hey did you see, David can actually shake his ….”, although am sure she meant in a nice way. Truce David.)

Sunday as most of you would know was Friendship Day. Remembered college days all friends would tie bands to each other, and exchange gifts and cards. Well, the trend continues, Few of my friends are still in that college mood hence I celebrated it too (their way) missing F.R.I.E.N.D.S 9 which was being telecasted from morning 10 to evening 10 and the cricket match (Asia cup finals).

One of my friends gave a card and tied the band and I did the same, infact gave her a certificate of being the best friend ever (Archies comes up with cool gift ideas) other friend had invited over for lunch…and when I entered the house was amazed to see the crowd at their house. She had a theme of garlands, all had to wear garlands and enter the house. They were all cooking together, chicken, crab, roti’s cake and what not.(I was NOT cooking for a change, me being a veggie was instructed not to enter the kitchen..else would behave like ‘Phoebe’) It was good to see their efforts when we had lunch at 5p.m (what did you expect with so many cooks around, 1 p.m is it??)and the table was full of food. She actually made us cut the cake. Had a good time. Nowadays, all these ‘days’ are so commercialized. Received so many SMS’s (sometimes late due to network congestion) and had like 10 bands on my wrist.
Seeing the media hype and commercialization, hope the saffron flag guys will not object to this day like they do for Valentines Day, What say??

P.S: Happy Friendship Week to you all!!!!!
